Pocan® is the trade name for polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) and mixtures thereof. Pocan® provides high heat resistance, strength, and hardness, as well as good sliding properties, high wear resistance, and good chemical resistance. In addition, Pocan® products are less sensitive to stress cracking and have low Hygroscopicity. In addition to injection molding grades, Pocan is also used in semi-finished product extrusion, foil or cable sheathing products, and non-reinforced products, glass fiber reinforced products, glass balls or mineral filled products. Flame retardant, elastomer modified and food grade products are also available, as well as blends with ASA and PC.
